Things my visiting grandmother actually said last night:

Today I bought an awesome, awesome winter coat. I cut quite a figure in it.

My new tag amuses me ("cheaper than therapy"). At my Alma mater, students were allotted 12 visits to the counselors in the Mental Health building per year. 30 minutes in to my first session (which took me literally weeks to actually work up to registering, and I nearly didn't go), my person got out information for in-town therapists.

Anyone who hangs out with me enough will find that I use a strange system of measurements. It comes at least partly from the other person who works from home here, and who I consequently see every weekday for hours and hours. We've been known to have entire conversations in meme.
